About Me

I grew up in the small town of Wadesboro, NC. As a child playing in the woods and creek bottoms behind my home, I found I had an interest in the outdoors at a very young age and have been passionate about wildlife for most of my life. Growing up working in my family’s consulting forestry business helped teach me how to manage land to benefit wildlife. It also taught me what signs to look for in the wild to better determine where certain types of animals are located, whether that be four-legged critters or wildlife of the winged-variety. With a college degree in Electronic Media Broadcasting, I have always had an affinity for working with cameras. When I mixed my desire to be behind a camera with my love for wildlife, a passion was born.

I invite you to take a walkabout with me to see wildlife and the outdoors as I do. I photograph wildlife and the outdoors because I enjoy it. Being outdoors can be serene and calming or it can be powerful and awe inspiring. That’s why I love it so much. Listening to nature come alive at first light as birds sing their good mornings, or watching the sunset spill across an open field as a deer bounds with freedom are heartwarming events to witness. You never know what you might see or experience and that’s what keeps me coming back. If my photography moves people and evokes an emotion or sparks an interest within them to learn about conservation or wildlife management, then that’s icing on the cake for me
